This release was a significant jolt to the XVX movement, during a time of stagnation, in more than one way. Literally, with its thunderous layers of anger-laden musical outpouring. Riffs that convey the ruthless, mechanical rhythm of industrial-era tyranny. Vocals that rip at one’s sense of moral duty and inflame it, with contagious indignation. Figuratively, with their compelling message, a direct call to action, an attack on injustice in every place where it goes ignored or worse, accepted and assimilated through apathy. Gather were standard bearers of a new generation, a new breed of politically conscious, punk and hardcore minded individuals who took the next step in a difficult progression, and in doing so they set the milestone which would be their irreproachable legacy.
